    Is MS Heridatary?
    • Teva's Lift MS Team | December 19, 2016
Great question, Ken! According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS), studies suggest that genetic risk factors increase the risk of developing MS, but there is no evidence that MS is directly inherited. You can learn more about this on the NMSS' website at: http://www.nationalmssociety.org/What-is-MS/Who-Gets-MS.

If you are experiencing symptoms, please reach out to your health care team! We hope that you find this information helpful.

Excellent quality quiz. I have relapsing remitting M.S., and I was diagnosed in 1982. I have mobility issues, but I haven't had an M.S. attack in many years. I have an excellent neurologist, who has been my doctor for 21 years now. My family and friends are very supportive. I'm a Christian, so faith and prayers are very important to me. I have learned a lot about M.S. over the years.
